Brazil Brazilian endemic The Cinnamon Tanager is typically found in cerrado and other types of open country habitat. It is only found in central and eastern Brazil. They look a bit like a finch with blue-grey upperparts, a black face mask and mainly cinnamon underparts. |

The generic name Schistoclamys is derived from the Greek schistus for "slate" and khlamus meaning "cloak". There is an illustration in Sick, Plate 25. |
